Blanco Kitchen Remodeling: The Houston Owner’s Guide
Blanco kitchen remodeling in Houston typically runs $14,000 – $45,000 installed depending on cabinet line, countertop material, and how far the existing layout changes. When a Blanco sink, faucet, or integrated accessory fails, most Houston homeowners don’t need a whole new kitchen. They need a company that can match the part to the model, price it in writing, and install it without ripping out cabinets that are still doing their job. Penhallow Remodeling Houston stocks and installs Blanco-compatible kitchen components, and we’ll give you a written quote before any work starts. The usual discovery moment is a slow leak under the sink cabinet, a faucet that drips after the handle is off, or a sink rim that’s pulling away from the quartz.
Which Blanco Models This Applies To

Blanco sells mainly through kitchen and bath dealers, and their sink line breaks into a few families: the Silgranit composite sinks (Precision, Diamond, and Super Single series), stainless steel sinks (Culina, Performa, and Stellar), and the Ikon/Quatrus faucet series. The compatibility gotcha with Blanco is the Silgranit material itself. It’s a granite-composite blend that’s harder than acrylic but will crack if a heavy cast-iron pan drops from cabinet height, and no standard undermount repair kit works on it the way it does on steel. You identify your part by looking at the sink underside label (holds the model number and date code) or the faucet base collar, which carries a printed series number on Ikon models. We’re an independent Houston service provider, not a Blanco factory rep, so we’ll tell you straight when an OEM part is the only sensible choice and when a quality aftermarket cartridge or strainer assembly does the same job for less money. For faucets, the ceramic disc cartridge in the Ikon and Quatrus lines fails first, and it’s a part any reputable plumber can source. For sinks, the strainer basket and the Silgranit’s molded rim are the weak points.
We also work around KraftMaid cabinet lines, Cambria quartz, and Silestone surfaces on Blanco-involved remodels, so a sink swap doesn’t become a countertop do-over unless it actually needs to be.

Signs Your Blanco Kitchen Remodeling Is Failing
- Water staining under the sink cabinet floor. This almost always means the strainer gasket has dried out or the Silgranit rim seal is failing. Houston’s humidity accelerates gasket drying, especially under sinks that feed a dishwasher drain.
- Faucet drips after the handle is fully down. The ceramic disc cartridge inside Ikon and Quatrus models is worn or scored by hard water minerals. Houston’s water leans heavy on calcium, and that grit is what eats these cartridges.
- Sink flexes or drops a fraction of an inch when full. The undermount clips or the epoxy bed holding the sink to the stone has let go. Blanco Silgranit sinks are heavy, and a loaded 30-inch model with water and pans can exceed 100 pounds.
- Visible crack or hairline spider web in a Silgranit rim. Impact damage from a dropped pan or thermal shock from boiling water then an ice dump. It will not self-heal and will leak through to the cabinet below.
- Sprayer head chatters or leaks at the swivel. The O-rings in the pull-down spray head are worn, or the diverter inside the spray body is clogged. This is repairable without replacing the whole faucet.

AfterReplacement Cost & What’s Included
In Houston, a Blanco component repair or replacement inside an existing kitchen runs from a few hundred dollars for a faucet cartridge or strainer assembly up to $2,000 – $6,500 for a full countertop replacement if the Silgranit sink has cracked the surrounding stone. A complete Blanco kitchen remodel lands in the $14,000 – $45,000 range depending on whether cabinets stay, countertops change, and the sink moves out of its existing cutout. What drives the number up: moving the sink location, changing sink size or number of bowls, switching from top-mount to undermount (requires new countertop fabrication), and any plumbing reroute to match a new faucet spread. You get a written price before we touch a single fitting, and that price includes parts, labor, haul-away of the old component, and our 365-Day Done Right Promise in writing. If the repair fails inside a year, we come back and fix it at no charge.
DIY or Call Us?
A homeowner can safely change a faucet aerator or clear a spray-head diverter with a toothbrush and vinegar. Checking the sink label to identify your model is free and takes five minutes. But this is where DIY goes wrong: a Blanco undermount sink is glued and clipped to the underside of a stone slab. If you unclip it without supporting it, the sink drops, the countertop edge can spall, and now your $400 repair is a $4,500 countertop replacement. Water lines inside a Houston cabinet are also a place where a slow leak becomes mold behind the cabinet back before you ever see it. If your sink moves, your rim leaks, or your faucet body drips, call (254) 527-5340 and we’ll give you a written quote before the work begins. Trevor Nash grew up learning that a straight wall is harder than it looks, and he applies the same honesty to a Blanco repair: give me the straight story on what you need, and I’ll give you the straight number on what it costs.
FAQs

A Blanco stainless steel sink should last 25 years or more with normal use. Blanco Silgranit composite sinks typically go 15 – 20 years in Houston before the rim seal or impact damage becomes a problem, because the material is tough but the undermount seal takes a beating from our humidity and hard water. Call (254) 527-5340 if yours is leaking and we’ll tell you if it’s a seal repair or a replacement.
Hairline cracks can sometimes be stabilized with a Blanco-approved epoxy repair kit, but any crack that flexes when you press on it means the sink has lost structural integrity and needs replacement. We’ll inspect it and give you a written answer before recommending one path or the other.
A faucet cartridge replacement takes about an hour. A full sink replacement in an existing countertop cutout usually takes four to six hours including sealant cure time. A sink relocation that requires new countertop fabrication runs one to two weeks because the stone has to be cut and templated off-site.
We stock common Blanco faucet cartridges, sprayer O-rings, strainer assemblies, and mounting clips on our trucks for same-trip repairs. Less common series-specific parts are ordered to our Houston shop and usually arrive within three to five business days. We’ll tell you which situation you’re in before we schedule the work.
