Meet the Houston Team Behind Penhallow Remodeling Houston
Most remodeling companies in Houston send whoever’s available. We don’t. The crew you meet on day one is the crew you’ll see through punch-out. Our Houston team is small on purpose: a lead technician, senior installer, service coordinator, and apprentice who have worked together long enough to read each other’s moves on a job site. Combined, they’ve handled hundreds of kitchen, bathroom, and whole-home remodels across Houston’s inner loop, the Heights, Katy, Sugar Land, and The Woodlands. Every one of them is background-checked, uniformed, and held to the same written standard Trevor Nash set when he opened this location.

Our People

Marcus D., Lead Technician
Marcus has been setting tile and hanging cabinets in Houston for 14 years, the last six of them with Penhallow. He’s a certified trim carpenter and the person we send when a cabinet line or countertop template has a problem that needs solving on site. Marcus is the one who notices that a hallway wall is a quarter inch out of square before the drywall goes up, not after the millwork arrives. He grew up in Spring Branch and knows what Houston humidity does to a poorly sealed shower enclosure, which is why he’s particular about cement board substrate (the moisture-resistant layer behind your tile). On weekends he restores old wooden boats, and it shows in his finish work.
Elena R., Senior Installer
Elena came to us from a high-end cabinet shop in the Galleria area, where she spent eight years installing KraftMaid and Wellborn cabinetry before moving into full kitchen and bath remodels. She holds a lead-safe renovation certification and runs most of our kitchen tear-outs and rebuilds. Elena is the team member most likely to catch a plumbing rough-in slightly off spec before the countertop template is cut, which has saved our clients from change orders more times than we can count. She’s from Pasadena originally, speaks fluent Spanish, and bakes pan dulce for the crew when a project hits its final inspection. Her eye for cabinet alignment borders on obsessive, which is exactly what you want when a drawer face is off by a sixteenth.
Dana W., Service Coordinator
Dana is the voice you’ll hear when you call (254) 527-5340, and she’s been answering that line for Penhallow since the Houston location opened. She schedules every job walk, confirms the defined arrival window in writing, and keeps the permit paperwork moving through the City of Houston and the surrounding municipalities we serve. Before joining us, she spent five years dispatching for an HVAC company, so she understands that a missed schedule window is a broken promise, not a minor annoyance. Dana lives in Meyerland and knows every coffee shop between our shop and The Woodlands, which matters when you’re coordinating three crews across four active projects. She’s the reason our written prices go out within 48 hours of a site visit.
Jordan T., Apprentice
Jordan joined the team two years ago through a trades program at Houston Community College and has already earned his OSHA 10 certification. He shadows Marcus and Elena on demolition, rough carpentry, tile prep, and finish work, and he’s the one who keeps the job site clean at the end of every day, daily swept floors and tools put away, no exceptions. Jordan grew up in Alief and is the first in his family to work in the trades. He asks a lot of questions, which we like, because the only way to learn what Houston’s 100-year-old pier-and-beam foundations do to a remodel is to see it up close. He’ll be leading his own projects sooner than he thinks.
One Standard, Every Job
Every Penhallow location operates independently, but we all work to the same Kingswell Guarantee, established in 2004. Say the price before the work starts. Show up in the window we gave. Leave the place cleaner than we found it. In Houston, that means Marcus and Elena don’t cut corners when the attic hits 120 degrees in August. It means Dana gets you a written price, not a verbal ballpark, before any material is ordered. It means if something fails inside the 365-Day Done Right Promise, we come back and fix it at no charge, and the return visit is free. Background-checked, uniformed, and trained the same way on every job. The Houston market has plenty of contractors who’ll cut a porch loose and disappear. We’d rather earn the call back.
